One of the special features of Canon La Gaffelière is its blend of equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Franc/Cabernet Sauvignon. Without its sandy-clay soil and these 3 grape varieties, the identity of this wine would be totally different!
This private tour will help you better understand the characteristics of each grape variety and the benefits of blending them. After showing you their particularities in the vineyard, your guide will take you into our cellars to taste each grape variety directly from the barrel before blending.
The tour ends with a tasting of two wines from the same vintage, but from different blends and terroirs:
Clos de l'Oratoire - Grand Cru Classé and Château Canon La Gaffelière - 1er Grand Cru Classé.
